What hardware do I need to use Carista?

Our app uses an open architecture and supports both our official scanners and third-party scanners:

• Carista EVO Scanner (Android and iOS)
• Carista OBD Scanner (Android and iOS)
• OBDLink CX (Android and iOS)
• OBDLink MX+ (Android and iOS)
• OBDLink MX Bluetooth or LX (Android only)
• Kiwi 3 (Android and iOS) (note: Kiwi 4 is not supported)
• Generic ELM327 v1.4 scanners (Android only)
  
  • WARNING: There are many fake/defective scanners out there that claim to support ELM327 v1.4 (or even v2.1), but they don't. 

NOTE: "Micro Mechanic" scanners are NOT supported! They do not properly comply with the ELM327 standard, even though they claim to.
