Carista can check the condition of the high-voltage battery in Toyota and Lexus hybrid and electric vehicles, and show you the results in a clear report you can save and share.
Where to find it
- Connect to your car in the Carista app.
- Open Service.
- Select Toyota EV/Hybrid Battery Health.
To see whether your car is supported, check the supported models and features for your Toyota or Lexus on our website: https://carista.com/apps/supported-cars/
Look under the Service tools for your model.
Before you start
- Charge the hybrid or EV battery to at least 60%. A lower charge gives less reliable results, and the app will remind you of this before the check begins.
- Switch the car ON and leave it on for the whole check.
- Stay in the car and keep the app open.
The reading takes about one minute. You may see warning lights on the dashboard while it runs. This is completely normal and they clear once the check is finished.
Your results
When the check is done you will see:
- A health score from 0 to 10, shown with a progress bar.
- A short summary line describing the overall condition of the battery.
- Four key metrics, shown in green when they are within normal range and in red when they are not.
- An AI insight that explains what the numbers mean in plain language. This text is generated by AI. You can tap Run new insight to generate it again.
Saving and sharing your report
You can save your results and share them with someone else. This is useful if you are buying or selling a hybrid or electric car and want proof of the battery's condition, or if you want to send the report to your mechanic.
If the check does not complete
Tap Try again. Make sure the car is still switched on, the scanner is firmly in the OBD2 port, and your phone stays close to the car.
If it keeps failing, please send us a report from More > Report a problem in the app so we can look at the technical details.
