Car diary is a free service log built into the Carista app. It lets you keep every maintenance job and repair for your car in one place, set a reminder for the next one, and keep track of what you spent.
Where to find it
- Open the Carista app.
- Go to Garage.
- Select Car diary.
Car diary is available for supported vehicles. If your car only supports generic OBDII functions, Car diary is not available for it yet.
To see whether your car is supported, check the supported models and features on our website: https://carista.com/apps/supported-cars/
Adding a record
- Open Car diary and start a new record.
- Choose Maintenance or Repair.
- Pick the subcategory, then the specific item.
- Enter the date and the odometer reading.
- Enter the cost of parts and labour. The total is calculated for you.
- Save the record.
Reminders
Reminders are available for Maintenance records.
- They are switched on by default and set for one year ahead. You can change the date when you create the record.
- You get a notification 7 days before the due date.
- You get a notification on the due date.
- You also get an email on the due date.
Records created automatically

This applies to:
